ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – WOOD PELLETS DELIVERY TO WTP

Solicitation No. RFQ-476721-0110

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP) and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Quotation for a Wood Pellets Delivery Subcontractor at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Work will consist of all labour, supervision, materials, transportation, delivery, equipment, and services required to complete the work. This work will include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Supply and delivery of high-quality wood pellets for use in biomass heating system at the WTP.
• Wood pellets shall be of high-quality and conform to standards as per CAN/CSA-B366.1-M91.
• Wood pellets shall be sized either as P1, P2, or P4, with a moisture content less than 15%.
• For the Water Treatment Plant, wood pellet peak monthly usage estimates are 184 tonnes, with annual usage estimates at 1,512 tonnes.

Initial delivery is anticipated to be in Q1 2027.

Competitive proposals will be solicited using the MERX Canadian Public Tenders website to select the best value firm to deliver the product to the Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
