ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – SURFACE CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Solicitation No. RFP-476721-0051
Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Surface Care and Maintenance of the surface and electrical infrastructure and facilities at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. This work will include ongoing operation, maintenance, inspection, procurement, testing, and repairs required to maintain the site equipment in a safe and serviceable condition. The work also includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Protect the environment, the public, and the mine site infrastructure and facilities.
- Maintain the mine site surface and electrical infrastructure and facilities in environmental compliance until a long-term remediation plan has been implemented.
- Keep the mine site in compliance with the Northwest Territories Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations and applicable requirements of the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Provide and utilize a Preventive Maintenance Program (PMP) and Inventory Control System (ICS) to assist with maintenance of the mine site infrastructure and facilities to the satisfaction of the MCM.
Work is anticipated to start April 1, 2021.
