ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – OFF-SITE BORROW

Solicitation No. RFSO-476721-0053

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Standing Offer (RFSO) for Off-site Borrow at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Bidders must show they can supply and deliver the specific chemical product and will be expected to provide proof of their ability to meet the testing requirements of the technical specifications. Aggregate material must meet the following minimum requirements for acceptance.

  • Soundness of less than seven percent at five cycles

  • Abrasion loss of less than 20 percent

  • Total arsenic less than 340 mg/kg

  • Neutralization potential ratio greater than three and classified as non-acid generating

  • Sulphide-sulphur concentration less than 0.5 percent by weight.

Product will be delivered to Giant Mine on an as-required basis from approximately June 2021 until September 2021.

Competitive proposals will be solicited using the MERX Canadian Public Tenders website to select the best value firm to deliver the product to the Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
