ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – NEW POWER SUPPLY LINES AND SUBSTATIONS

 

Solicitation No. RFP-476721-0080

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP) and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for New Power Supply Lines and Substations at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Work will consist of installation of new power supply lines and substations. This work will include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Supply and install materials as shown on drawings to form a working 34.5 kV overhead line system including energization and commissioning before handing over.
  • Coordinate interconnection of the Giant Mine Trunk Line to the existing Royal Oak Line at the metering location. Subcontractor shall obtain all permits and applications. The Royal Oak Line will remain in operation upon completion of Phase I.

Work is anticipated to start in 2024.
