ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – AR1 FREEZE INSTALLATION

Solicitation No. RFP-476721-0085

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP) and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the AR1 Freeze Installation at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. As a drilling and specialized instrumentation install Construction Work Package (CWP), Work will include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • The furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, implements, machinery, supplies, temporary lighting, water, heating, scaffolding, shoring, temporary works, dewatering, transportation, quality control (QC) inspection and testing, commissioning, reporting, labour, and superintendence necessary for the installation of the AR1 Freeze system in coordination with the proprietary thermosyphon vendor.
  • Deconstruction of the Freeze Optimization Study (FOS) infrastructure.

Work is anticipated to start in July 2026.

Competitive proposals will be solicited using the MERX Canadian Public Tenders website to select the best value firm to deliver the product to the Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
