NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – 2021 WINTER INVESTIGATION DRILLING

Solicitation No. RFP 476721-0050

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), and acting as both the Mine Manager and Prime Contractor, will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the 2021 Winter Investigation Drilling at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Work will consist of, but is not limited to, the following:

• Geotechnical drilling, sampling, and in situ field testing
• Environmental drilling and sampling
• Installation of monitoring wells and decommissioning of a number of existing monitoring wells

Work will be carried out using track-mounted sonic drilling and Cone Penetration Test (CPT) pushing equipment. The work will be on ice covered water as well as on land.

Work is anticipated to start in February 2021.
