ADVANCE NOTICE OF CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY – DRILLING PROGRAM

Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), will be soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a drilling program at Giant Mine, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Work will consist of providing diamond core drilling equipment capable of completing HQ3 sized boreholes and triple tube coring techniques for vertical and angled holes as specified. Drilling will include, but is not limited to, the following:
- confirmation drilling of previously backfilled stopes (four observation boreholes; ~155 to 160 metres long; HQ3 size)
- paste delivery to open stopes (~55 boreholes; 25 to 100 metres long, 96.1 mm and 200 mm diameter)
- other drilling as may be required, e.g., geotechnical test holes.
Work is anticipated to start in early to mid-October 2020.
