Parsons Inc. (“Parsons”) is the Main Construction Manager (MCM) for the Giant Mine Remediation Project (GMRP), acting as the Prime Contractor and Mine Manager. Parsons is committed to ensuring procurement will be conducted in a fair, open and transparent manner while addressing Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (CLCA) commitments and the Government of Canada’s (GoC) procurement objectives regarding Indigenous and local northern opportunities.
Parsons MCM is committed to Indigenous training, employment, subcontracting and other opportunities involving Indigenous citizens and businesses in carrying out the work under the GMRP through the use of Indigenous Opportunities Consideration (IOC) and Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business (PSAB). All bid solicitations issued by the MCM include the requirement for bidders to stipulate their IOC commitments. Some bid solicitations will include both IOC and PSAB. In these cases, bidders are required to stipulate their IOC commitments and comply with PSAB.

Effluent Treatment Plant Request for Proposal 476721-0027
Parsons, as the Main Construction Manager for the Giant Mine Remediation Project, intends to solicit competitive proposals using MERX to select the best value firm to deliver all services associated with the operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant at the GMRP in Yellowknife, NT. Work under this anticipated subcontract will consist of the operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant and associated infrastructure as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
